Club Jok

  • Club Jok is a fun, young team that wants to show more internationally niche films to the big screen. We specialise in showing films from countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Russia, and the Philippines. These countries represent the individual team members that make up Club Jok.

  • Club Jok allows for amazing films from these countries to be shown to a new audience and a younger crowd that wants to experience a different culture through film.

By showcasing these films, we hope to enlighten the general public of these often misrepresented cultures through film.

  • Jok is a rice porridge dish that is made on the streets of Thailand. Normally eaten in the morning, it is the perfect balanced rice dish for the day. The dish not only represents the culture of Thailand perfectly, but is used to highlight the everyday people, and not just the strip clubs or ladyboys that represents Thailand in modern Hollywood culture.
